I am gonna be thrilled if the Rams hit that 8-win mark. Because there are still problems on this team, problems that a first-year coach is very unlikely to solve.
If I said "The Rams O is going to leap from worst to top half of the NFL, with a brand new coach and the same QB and an untested stable of draftees and FA acquisitions", many other fans would just nod and say "yeah, could be!"
But if I said "[Any other team] is going to leap from the worst offense to the top half the league with a brand new coach and the same QB and a bunch of untested receivers", you'd say "sure pal, anything can happen but it's a long shot."
