Is the coaching he'll get. It's hard for the TEs to come in and make big impact in year one, but McVay is a superb TE coach who does a great job of getting these guys to see the big picture on coverages and what to expect from defenses for certain situations.
I don't expect anything from him early in the season. But he is a real nice fit for McVay's offense too, so maybe as the season unfolds he'll start making an impact in games.
And for Higbee and maybe even Hemingway, if they are willing to bust their butts and do the work required both should have pretty good seasons. There's going to be a lot of opportunity for the TEs in this offense as they should see a lot of snaps in 12 personnel.
