odd on the topic of Tavon Austin
that is my opinion
lip service was due in the framework, but I sensed hesitation in response, and a......just wasn't buying his remarks on the kid
wisely, I don't believe that Sean McVay is centering his offensive scheme to a feature Austin.
in fact, it feels quite a bit far from there.
there's no doubt that Austin can run away from anyone, but the work at being an elite WR? hmmm
If there is anybody who can figure out how to best utilize Tavon, it's Sean McVay. I think he is genuinely excited about the type of things Tavon can do on a football field.
What is it that Tavon can really do, other than run fast, R2K?
Think about it.
Not his hands.
Not his mastery of the O scheme.
Not his route running.
Not his catch radius.
Not winning contested balls.
Not his ability to read opposing D.
I wish McVay and Tavon all the luck in the world, but I'm not optimistic.
If I've got McVay pegged, he's not gonna put all his eggs in the Tavon basket this year.
He's not the type of coach that's gonna put all his eggs in anyone's basket... but I know he knows what Tavon can do in the open field and he will figure out the best way to do so.... seems everyone else got a free pass for being held up by Fisher's pathetic offense, why not him too? Let's see what happens this year.... I gotta felling McVay can get him going.
Hope you're right, R2K. I really do.
If McVay and his staff can revive Tavon's career then they will have proven themselves not merely gifted, but outright miracle workers. Lol.
