Rampage2K-
Was watching PFT today and heard Florio mention the Rams as the other team that might be bidding on Cousins next year if Goff struggles.
If Goff doesn't show up this year, I can see that happening.....hope it doesn't come to that.
They wont do it no matter how bad a season Goff might have. They will give him and themselves a longer leash than that. The organization invested too much in Goff that they will give him at least 3 years before they made such a drastic move. That being said, they might be foolish to pass up on a QB in this upcoming QB draft class in the earlier rounds (may have to be a 1st) depending on how the cards fall on draft day..
Like I said, I hope and think that Goff is going to shine with this staff around him, but
IF he fails miserably they won't hesitate two seconds trying to replace him with either Cousins or a top pick in next years draft for a couple reasons.
1. McVay has no ties to him, it wasn't his draft pick...New coaches have no problems releasing former coaches top picks if they can't play or don't fit.
2. The Rams will be in the last year of the coliseum and will be trying to sale HUGE money PSL's and luxury suites for the following year....sticking with a struggling QB won't sale anything.
