Just my take
Yes, the addition of Whitworth solves a lot. Not sure if Sullivan gives us the remedy for a very ugly interior issue.
But it starts, it all starts with Gurley being successful.
He was NOT the RB of the present and future.
He'll have to show that he is able to make entire defenses keep an eye on him, or we'll see defenses load up and tee off on Goff all season long.
I'll readily admit that I don't have high hopes for him. He doesn't create on his own: he's a large target, and if he has an elite tool set? It was MIA last year barring a handful of moments. A handful that translated to 4 wins, imo.
I would respectfully modify your post, leaf.
Of course a resurgence of Gurley would be huge.
But Goff's performance is even more important.
And I would put Quinn right up there, too.
But I'll tell you what. If all 3 of those guys have a big year?
Ummmmm...
We're talking playoffs, maybe.
