no one knows what the future brings. So optimism or negativism (sometimes call realism) really doesn;t matter. Past failures don't prove future failures. Past success isn't sure proof the next season will be good.
This draft did remind me of 2011, but just because it did does not mean these receivers will be as bad as those turned out to be.
We have to see them play in the NFL. College success does not equal pro success all the time. When we have had time to see Goff and these and the previous draft's receivers we can know if they can play, but there is no way to know now. This TE could be good, bad, or most likely, in them middle... but those are just the odds, we need to see what their desire is, their ability to learn and recognize things on the field.
