There are a lot of people who were fans, or rather became fans, when they were wearing blue and white that post here. But those were great years too. That's the generation you and I are in, so we associate it from our childhood.
The yellow and blue probably is slightly more popular because of the length of time it was used. But there is a big fan base in STL that saw the yellow and blue and posted here about staying with those colors. Most of them are gone now of course so maybe there seems to be a little more support for the blue and whites because there are fewer STL voices.
Also I would think that the fact they haven't worn blue and white, even as a throw back uni, for 45 years means that most Rams fans never saw them play in that color scheme. Assuming you really start paying attention to football at the age of 6 or 7 would mean that anyone under 51-52 only knows yellow. I'm going to guess that amounts to probably 60-65% of the fans. Maybe more, I don't know how many fans who knew the blue and white stopped supporting them when they left LA.
I went to many games in STL and seeing old blue and whites was not that common. Usually the visiting teams fans would have more throwbacks than Rams fans. STL knew blue and yellow and I don't think they associated with the uniform color when the team was in LA decades ago.
It seems like most fans voice a preference for the yellow from everything I have read.
