Player development seems to be a huge focus of this new regime. The focus of individual roles, emphasizing individual strengths and leveraging those strengths by fitting them together for effective offensive and defensive schemes is so refreshing.
The offense under Fisher and the player development on offense under Fisher was terrible. Many blame Snead but I think much is Fisher buy not having a good articulation of the type of player, taking risks on developmental types and then failing to development those types of players effectively. McVay has a defined role for each player drafted and a play to develop that person. He has a plan on how to leverage their strengths and a focus on making sure each individual is successful in this system.
