Well, as you say, I am trying to make a different point. I think it's fair to say that people tend to lean toward hope or toward despair, though of course recognizing that no one lacks the other side of the coin. And I have ZERO desire to try to move people toward either pole of the continuum.

Again. My point is about recognizing the limits of what we know. All too often, I see people on both sides of the issue arguing emphatically for assumptions based on what we really don't know. I think clear perception needs to see the limits of what one can see.
