For 2nd round pick. Weeks ago. Apparently he wasn't willing to sign long-term deal there. Wants to stay in LA.
IF HE FREAKING Really wants to stay in LA he would tell his AGENT to settle on a long term agreement with the Rams that meets his value somewhere in the middle favoring the Rams with a little bit of a hometown discount etc..
I don't buy this wants to stay in LA crap.
I think he would rather play in LA for his FAT franchise tag number compared to playing in New Orleans for the low ball long term deal they offered him.
(assuming it's even true)He knows he can play for fat cash in LA on another one year deal and they won't tag him again in 2018. He will get to offer his 2018 services to the highest bidder next off season and that is more likely the truth unless he proves my theory wrong and signs a decent friendly extension with the Rams before the franchise tag deadline ends etc..
New Orleans probably offered him a long term deal that was right on the mark of his market value which is not anything extra special so he and his agent balked.
I'm only speculating but If common sense has anything to do with this report, Tru would be a Saint had they offered him a contract like Jenkins got.
I would love to know what this so called Saints offer was because had they offered what him and his agent think he's worth, he would be a SAINT yesterday without a shadow of a doubt. Its about money not the city.. Don't insult our intelligence
