The Seahawks like David Jones as well. They were at his pro day and then scheduled him for a private meeting.
Yeah, only 3 teams went private with Jones. Rams and Seahawks were two of them. I think Seattle probably is key on him, which just sells that if it's later in the 6th and he's there? Make a deal.I worry about the ability of Ross to hold up. He's already had knee issues and I question how much weight he can add. I wouldn't draft him with the limited amount of medical info i have on him.
But I remember watching a Washington game and they talked about how the threat of Jackson taking the top off the defense opened up everything underneath that McVay wanted to do. So unless Austin is that deep threat, they need to find one. Jackson, fwiw, never had the injury worries coming out. He had a deep thigh bruise and a sprained shoulder in college. As far as in the pros, he has had 2 concussions, a sprained foot, sprained ankle and broke some ribs in a practice. Ross has a blown ACL and a torn labrum on his resume.
This is exactly what concerns me. Holding up in a league of enormity of body types is fraught with peril. The one thing that brings Ross to light is that McVay have some misgivings about the future of what Tavon Austin can provide. One would have to add in P. Cooper, and M. Thomas to the equation, too. Sean wants some one who can go right by everyone and take the free lunch. I have concerns about what Tavon can do. He hasn't been able to hold on to tougher balls. He rarely gets the express TD through the air. Even with speed you have to make the play on the ball. Ross will surprise me, but I'll take him. Just think there some near equal options that don't cost draft picks.
