IMO Fisher attempted to address the oline and he simply didn't get it done. The choices he made did not pan out...but he didn't just sit idle on the OL... not even close

I guess what I was trying to say was that Fisher's moves on the OL weren't effective, Speed. Not so much that he made no moves.
But the net effect is exactly the same, isn't it?

All this you say is true. Fisher tried but failed.
McVay is clearly making his attempt to fix the OL. It's too soon to say whether he will be successful or not.
I do have to admit, I tend to be as optimistic as the next guy, but the failures with Fisher have me tempering my expectations this time around.
For instance, the Whitworth signing feels very similar to me as the Long signing. Can you imagine how the fortunes of the Rams would have changed if Long didn't get injured?
I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that Whitworth and McVay's other moves work out.
