Yep. He's a wealthy man, with a lot to lose

Romo is making a very wise, mature choice.
He has been beat up pretty badly and some of those injuries will affect him the rest of his life (especially a couple of decades down the road).

He would almost for sure go to a mediocre to poor team, so the Superbowl is not in his future.

If he has not squandered his money, he is a wealthy man. He isn't crippled or brain damaged.
So why do this any more? If TV wants him, he should give it a try.
