Leaf was a coin toss selection between him and the #1 overall pick.
Manzeil, disaster that he is, was the 22nd pick in the draft.
Zero comparison other than both being garbage.

We have a different perspective. Manziel was (is) a train wreck. Grob has kept his nose clean off the field but his performance on the field has been a disaster.
If Grob was selected at #22 IMO he would be a disappointment. Selected as #2 overall he's a bust IMO.
Grob has been a huge disappointment, Johnny Football is in a Ryan Leaf stratosphere.
Grob still has a chance with a new staff to become a legit OLinemen, JM has a chance at becoming Todd Maranovich.
Huh? They're almost like twins!!!
Don't care if one was picked 20 spots later, they are both complete disasters from the most important position on the field....after so much hype, they completely imploded.
I agree the number two pick is a huge bust when they struggle like Grob, but the draft is the most inexact science you'll find. You have about a 50/50 shot on a first round pick making it more then 4 years...Grob still has a fighting chance especially with the new staff in becoming a decent player.
