Something like this is not good. Punching a minor in the eye is not good. Obviously, there was a payoff, so it basically an admission of guilt. So what were the circumstances? I would like to think this guy didn't just storm out his back door, push, then punch a 12 year old kid. That would be bad. And I would like to believe any parent, in that case, would make sure the guy is prosecuted AND then seek civil damages. He gets his punishment, you get your money. I read a story about the charges being dropped because of mutual agreement (payoff) between Kromer and the parents, who cited the injuries did not require medical attention. Still, he did what he did and even if the kid were a 6'0" tall 16 year old with a smart mouth, it's still an anger problem (but a little easier to understand than punching a 4'10" 12 year old kid). So I wonder, does he have a history of this type of stuff or was this one isolated incident? If he's done other crap, I'm not glad he's a Rams coach. If this were one isolated incident, of which we know very few details, I'll give him a pass.
