The Rams have a long list of bad free agents going back years, to Knox II, Brooks, even Vermeil. Then there's Martz (Sehorn) and Spags and so on.
Given the long long list of bad FAs the Rams have signed going back to the 90s, it's only strange selective memory that would single out Long or Finnegan. They actually both played decently until hurt. There are guys who never played at all or were open straight up locker room cancers and so on.
It's like the people who say recent drafting was bad. Well, no it wasn't. ESPECIALLY compared to Martz's worst years, and then Linehan in 2006 and 2007.
