Notice the trend, Fish brought in "HIS" Vets, the type that bought into his coaching philosophy. He did not recruit and secure high performing vets from winning/established programs, he courted and acquired underachievers he was familiar with that by all accounts adored him. All but Long that you listed were Titans.
