In the business over 30 years. In my state the arrest rate is very high. Mandatory arrests are required under certain circuimstances. Not infrequently both parties are arrested and/or a person engaged in self defense is arrested. I'm not a defense lawyer by the way and certainly this is not representative of the entire country. I would dare to say that California is more progressive in this area than my state, but I have not read their penal code or reviewed the arrest statistics regarding domestic calls. It was a careless statement on my part, based on my expertise in only one state. It does however not change the point. In fact it probably emphasizes it. It is dangerous to interpret without knowing the specifics!
