Austin has made big plays in games and he played in a horrific offensive environment.
I believe he has hope if used properly to be a contributor. Now, I don't believe he is worth that kind of money, but Austin would be picked up by just about every NFL team if he was at the right price.
When comparing him to Benny Cunningham, I see one guy go for 20+ yards over and over throughout his career and the other a cloud of dust type of player but does some little things like carrying out his assignments.
I think Austin has done so much more than Cunningham.
I don't think Austin was given his $42 million contract because he compares favorably to Cunningham, 81.
At least, I sure hope not.
Bottom line is quite simple. Tavon is not playing anywhere NEAR his contract amount.
That must change this year or there will be consequences.
Same thing with GRob.
Nothing personal with either player. Just business. That's the way it is in the NFL.
