there is a little piece in here about wade liking barron in the middle that i thought was interesting. it maybe be just talk but it was an unsolicited response so i thought it was revealing.
This is all "so far," "at this point," and other qualifiers. Who knows what they will think when they have them on grass. So anyway yes at this point they speak well of him (and this isn't the first time) and are putting him at ILB in Wade's 1-gap scheme.
IMO in that role he's kind of like Deone Bucannon, who is (as pretty much everyone knows) the safety to LB convert Arizona starts at ILB. Deone and Barron are kind of built the same in more ways than one. And last year, with Deone in the mix, the Cards defense was 2nd in total yards and 9th in rushing yards, which means you can play defense with someone of that type at ILB.

Yes. My own personal-view iz -- you dont get rid of 'very good players' because they 'dont fit' your scheme.
What ya do is adapt the scheme and keep the 'very good player'.
Not that i would have that as an iron-clad rule written in granite -- but in general, I'm against jettisoning very-good-players.
I think Barron is a 'very good player'.
