In the NFL more teams stop players on runs, inside the 5 than runningbacks making it in the endzone.
That is my theory from watching games. I don't have a stat, but if it comes down to 1 play, I am taking Wilson doing some play action rollout type of play.
I probably don't run the play they run where he throws in traffic.
This isn't to say, I would never run inside the 5. In fact, I would run probably half the time when I have 3 or 4 downs to make it, but this idea that somehow you are always going to make the endzone on the run, is a false assumption. It is hard to pick up 1 yard inside the 5. I see 4 down stops every week in the NFL.
