I was deeply convinced that we were dead as long as Fisher was at the helm. To have a chance, we needed a new skipper and officer corps.
But, I DO NOT assume that we will now get better. It's always a crap shoot to hire a new coach. Always. Even proven HCs often fail to recapture the magic when they get a new gig.
So what do I know? Not a damn thing. I know nothing about this kid except what I read around here. And, being a kid, he is a real ceiling/floor mystery. I dunno and I don't believe anyone knows. In my opinion, it's a waste of bandwidth to try to figure what the kid will do.
However, I do think it's worthwhile to discuss a generic question. On this board, we've got centuries of experience observing the NFL. Well, what do you folks think:
How much of a team's success or failure can be attributed to the roster of players and how much to the coaching staff?
Please answer the poll and discuss. (I figured 90/10 or 100/0 either way would be silly.)
I'll vote and discuss later.
