The Chargers have a much better chance to be a winning team next year than the Rams do. All they need to do is get healthy and add a couple pieces for that to happen. The Rams are in much worse shape...in the short term anyway. So any lightweight perception battle right now will easily be forgotten the minute win-loss records start diverging. The battle the Rams need to make sure they win is that one.
