The Rams certainly know his level of interest. Shanny could have taken the interview with minimal interest. Why turn down any NFL HC interview, especially if they are traveling to you?
DEMOFF may feel he could miss out on HIS current top interviewed guy (McVay) if he wastes another 4 days trying to persuade Shanny that the Rams HC position is worth his while. Maybe not the wisest move. Seems like Demoff trusts the Gruden`s as well as his two interviews with McVay.
Like I`ve been saying for a long while, this is Demoff`s team and his HC hire. Kroenke chose to leave him as the man in charge of everything. Big mistake IMO.
Well, in that case. I say pull the trigger. No sense in waiting for someone who has minimal interest. I was just assuming that Shanny would have interest given that the HC jobs available are closing down quickly.
I’m trusting Demoff’s process. I don’t know if he deserves the trust; I also don’t know if he doesn’t. Without more information, I can’t call his being in charge a big mistake.
Demoff is a bright guy and it seems he’s leaned heavily on people with good football knowledge such as the Gruden’s and probably others.
