I get the injury risk with Saffold. But they're going to have to take some sort of flyer on a couple guys. I would go with Saffold- just for 2017- and sign a veteran backup, a Garrett Reynolds-type player, in case. He gave them 15 games this year and doesn't have an offseason surgery ahead of him for the first time in three years.

I feel like Robinson was on "prove it" status this year. He had $12.2M on the line- in the form of his 5th year option (2018)- he could have earned. And he didn't go get it.

I completely understand both of your points, 93. Believe me, I do.

And you might very well be proven correct.

Neither Saffold nor GRob are clear black and white no brainer decisions, imo.

Did I change your mind about Britt? Or renegotiating Quinn downward?
