"far more there" is no answer.. because it led to 2016.
Gonna look forward to your posts, ZN, and I mean that sincerely.....no condescension at all.. I agree with almost nothing you say these days. Never have you and I been further apart than today... which is NOT to say 'hope' is relative. 'Hope' remains' our common bond, true. It does, always will. But it's based on completely different criteria. That probably confuses you, no?
I am caught between two 'adamant' extremes.. you, those not you. Yes, I know you don't see it that way.
Everything is 'hunky dorry'.. (sp?).. and all is lost. For me you are no more right than 'they'. Less, actually, because you seem to always be 'concocting' excuses, (word used intentionally), MORE than 'they' use phraseology to counter. Camps.. you are one, with a few followers; and others are the 'counter' to that, (again with a few followers.. most of us are not so convinced of our own expertise)... I get it.... don't agree with either of you.. and that sets off some vile debates..
All of this is the mire we are in from losing... not like this when we're winning. Welllll, with the exception of RFIP and 81. (somewhat jokingly). Not up to it, myself.. been there, done that... BUT.. never think that's a statement about my commitment to the Rams.. which YOU never would, which is why I love ya. - JamesJM
Not sure I followed that.
I just happen to think there's more on the roster than the "they need to start over" view thinks there is.
2016 only disproves that if you believe what happened in 2016 all goes to, or at least heavily indicts, team personnel, at more that just a few spots.
"Excuses" is a word that comments on motives and intentions and presumes to know what someone is really thinking. That's why I never use it. The word cannot help but personalize things. It's just the way the word works, can't be helped. I prefer to say people are more or less optimistic or pessimistic, and that there's not just 2 camps of that, but a lot of different positions with different shades and tones of one or the other or both.
