but he should have never made it past year 3. Hindsight being 20/20
I don't like Fisher personally but he did stop the bleeding and turn the team around BUT that was as much as he could do. (there were a few who thought that should be his function and without significant improvement by year 3 should be let go) He just has too many deficiencies as a HC and Snead, Boras and the rest of the crew just aren't good enough.
Who hired Devaney???? and Josh McDaniels? That was worse IMO.
Nonetheless, and this is the bottom line, we fans are just going to have to hope for dumb luck to come through. Anyone who gets hired, we're just going to have to hope they work together and are competent. I for one have very little confidence in this process.
I'm also pretty sure I don't understand the 'hiring the coach first and then the GM'. Is that really the way its done? Just seems backwards.
Also, the suggestion of a "face" that LA finds "attractive or charismatic"... I'm worried that is real. I have no more confidence in a fan running the Rams. I really do root for a uniform.
