I am only guessing here, like we all are at most of this, but I think he felt like he could trust him and that he would be OK to start out and get better. And I think Fisher liked Boras and felt like giving him a shot.

That wasn't the case of course, things got worse.

IMO the perfect example of Boras not getting it, and not having a feel for the game was the 3rd and 1 call where he had the ball pitched deep in the backfield to Gurley going to the left. Gurley got the ball like NINE yards from where he needed to go. Stupid play call at that point.

No motion inthis O. Austin wasn't used much in the running game which was a dumb move. Overall he was just out of his depth.
