Once the new coaching staff comes in and makes their changes, we will be amazed at the "improvement" in the '17 Todd Gurley.
And Goff
And the entire OL (although there well may be several new faces there)
And Kendricks/Higbee/Hemingway
And at the WR position top to bottom.
My point?
While there is plenty of blame to go around for all O players, it all starts at the top with a powerful and player respected HC. The "culture", if you will. Players are human beings and will give a HC what he demands. If the HC demands a lot, that's what he will get. If he's willing to settle for mediocrity, then that's exactly what he'll get, too.
The Rams have taken the first step forward in improving their HC position. They simply have to get it right this time. NONE of us is in the mood for 3 more years of this less than mediocrity.
Gonna be a tremendously interesting offseason, that's for sure.
