Look, fans need to get over this instant gratification thing for winning. Playing Goff was not about winning in 2016. It just was not that at all and I said that weeks ago. This is not about winning in 2016. The team already knew they have massive holes to fill and this was about prepping Goff for a better 2017.
This was about the maturation and teaching of Goff to be an NFL QB.
THERE IS NOT WINNING QB on the Rams right now. There is a rookie in Goff and an unknown in Mannion and a backup QB in Keenum and that is it.
Fans need to get over that Goff was the number one over all pick and think in terms of any other rookie QB. He as some ability and he can turnout to be very, very good with the right coaching. Who knows how good Aaron Rogers would have been his rookie season had he be forced to play instead of sitting on the bench and watching Brett Farve play.
One question I have is should the Rams go out and get a veteran QB who has experience as a starter? Mannion is in the same boat as Goff. He is unknown and untried and has never played in a regular season game that I can recall.
