One need not look any further than this last draft, let alone all the history that makes it obvious, that drafting or draft position is not the authority on who is actually good or the better NFL player.

Warner was intimidated in Green Bay as a rookie, which is understandable considering he was only a one year starter at a small college program. But wherever he got the chance to get on the field after never getting the chance in Green Bay, he excelled. What Warner lacked was a sincere opportunity in the NFL. Had he been a high draft pick, he'd have gotten it and he'd have no doubt still been great before age 27.
