believe that the only wins we have this year are with Case at QB
add in that Case wasn't the one getting stoned running the ball. Btw, Gurley was bad from the get go.
add in that Case wasn't the dropping the ball. I don't have the wherewithal to go and rewatch the number of drops by the team, but extraordinary.
add in that Case didn't fail on defense, get all the flags.
add in the poor play calling, and some real lousy decisions by the Coach of when to go for it and not go for it.
that's not a dismissal of his poor work.
but, dang, there are highlights of blunders by the surrounding cast of players that give me heartburn this morning.
I agree with all this. CK could never take the offense on himself and just win, he needed a running game.
IMO CK was the best #2 caliber qb the Rams have had in years.
Not that W/L records are on the qb alone (far from it), but anyway having said that here are the records of all starters going back to 2007.
Bulger 5-30
Berlin 0-1
Frerotte 1-2
Green 0-1
Boller 0-4
Null 0-4
Bradford 10-30-1
Feeley 1-2
Clemens 4-8
Davis 3-5
Hill 3-5
Foles 4-7
Keenum 7-7 ... the only one not in the negative percentages in the last decade.
Again the qb is not the sole cause of winning/losing (I already said CK needed a running game). And good starting caliber qbs did not do well because of circumstances (Bulger, Bradford).
But while heavily qualified CK's W/L percentage at least testifies that he did pretty well for a #2 caliber qb, all things considered. I just can't be dismissive of that.
