I would be very surprised if Goff ever turns out to be what we gave for him.... meaning 'franchise'.... I won't be very surprised if he turns into a very good QB with great games, big wins, and capable of getting us deep into the playoffs and perhaps even a Lombardi IF he has an outstanding supporting cast. I can't see him as the type of QB that can win games on his own.
Goff can make throws the 'average' QB cannot... he has done so several times in his rookie year, after coming in late. That's not common. What I'm saying is: I can see why he was so well respected by the NFL, NOT just the Rams.
He has made very poor throws, just awful, that I happen to believe are more 'inexperience' related... both the speed of the game and the system he's playing under.
REALLY out on a plank almost alone - I think very poor coaching and P#$$ poor system are a major factor in his play, his progress, and frankly... I think he's been 'set back'... nothing that can't be overcome but I really believe if he started as a 6, Brady a 10, he's now a 5-. He's going to have to be tutored as if from scratch. - JamesJM
