A rookie with receivers as bad as his are, is not an excuse. Its a fact.

Bottom line however is I think Wentz is a player. I don't expect much from Goff.

Wentz is the "exciting" new toy...run-around, escape a rush, throw it 50-60 yards for a td! But it has covered a LOT of his warts of holding the ball way too long, throwing high, not seeing the open receiver in the route early on, trusting what he sees, etc.

At FIRST I liked the Big ben comp but Ben was brought up correctly, he threw it "in the teens" his rookie year, most always safe, quicker passes and he grew from there.

Wentz, like ANYONE drafted that highly, has all the talent needed to succeed but he came in to the league with concerns and Pederson has let him throw it at will and make no mistake he has cost the Eagles some games. He came in as the fair-haired kid but that won't last in Filthadelphia much longer, he better plan on WINNING next year or he will be booo-ed and his coaches seat will be on fire.
