His contract is up at the end of the year. He'll be a free agent. The Patriots are basically renting him for a few games to see if he can help their thin and injury riddled WR's corps for the post season. Maybe he ends up re-signing with them after the year, but again, the only reason the Patriots claimed him is because they're hoping he can help them the rest of this season. If the Rams want him, they can make a bid for him in free agency in the off season, but they have no use for him for the last 3 games now.
