Another angle the Rams may be looking at.
Kroenke admittedly loves the Patriots way. What better way to at least TRY and follow that model by bringing in new GM Nick Caserio who has been with the Pats for 16 years and bringing in Josh McDaniel as head coach, who started with New England in 2001, the same time as Caserio started. That's 4 Super Bowl wins and 6 Super Bowl appearances each for those guys.
Or how about Eric DeCosta and John Harbaugh from Baltimore?
Rumors are already out there that John Harbaugh could potentially be interested in the Rams head coaching position. Interesting that after the Ravens won the Super Bowl in 2013, Harbaugh was given a multi year contract extension that just so happens to expire after this 2016 season (less than 3 weeks from now if they don't make the playoffs). Hhhhmmm.
As far as DeCosta goes, he has turned down several NFL GM positions over the past decade to stay in Baltimore where he is promised to be next in line when Ozzie Newsome leaves. 18 years in the organization (2 Super Bowl wins) and still waiting. At 60 years old, Ozzie looks pretty freaking good and I doubt he steps down any time soon. Apparently DeCosta and Harbaugh (1 Super Bowl win) have a great relationship and if Harbaugh truly is interested in the Rams head coaching position and not just leveraging himself with contract talks, it may make a lot of sense that DeCosta could jump ship to LA with him.
That`s a lot of winning/experience with all the above guys and they are all still young guys with Caserio and McDaniel`s only being 40, DeCosta 45 and Harbaugh 54.
Some may or may not like either of these moves if they happened, but IMO it beats the hell out of anything the Rams have tried over the past decade. Just keep Demoff away from them.
