is I get the feeling he might quit and go right back to his cushy media job when the going gets tough. Also, the guy knows offense, which is valuable, but he's not really the disciplinarian type I think this soft roster needs. Not saying they need a Coughlin, but someone who is going to strongly turn around that country club atmosphere Fish had going on.
I can get behind him if he gets the job. But I think we can do better. I think we will do better.
Yeah, he doesn't seem like that stable type figure built for the long term. Would he come back thinking its what he wants, only to cool off after a couple potentially tough seasons and lose his passion? He may want that booth job back quickly. I like him as a head coach, a QB mentor and an offensive mind, but he still needs a few missing ingredients with this offense and no 1st round pick in 2017. Then you have to worry about losing top defensive players as well.
I wouldn't like the idea of Kroenke giving him full power either like he did Fisher. I wouldn't want him hiring his own GM. There are definitely pros and cons with hiring a guy like Gruden. It would certainly make that media splash that Kroenke would love though.
