How stupid is this sentence: "Jeff Fisher truly ran this organization into the ground, but there's a ton of talent, especially young talent, on the roster." I mean it doesn't even make it all the way to the period before it contradicts itself.
"ton of talent"
There is some talent. However, some of it is at a crossroads and it could go either way.
Quinn, is he going to be a player or someone who cannot be counted on?
Donald? One of best in NFL
Brockers, a solid shade tackle
Ogletree, will be be moved to OLBer where he has been inpact player or made to stay at MIKE where he's not a fit
Tru? Was solid last year and this year.
McD...will he be the box safety or not? Limited in what he can do, but when we are in 8-man fronts, he did well, when he has to play back, struggles
Easley, a good 3rd tackle.
G-Rob, can he be salvaged
Hav? Brown? Wich? can they be steady players, none will likely be Pro Bowlers unless maybe Brown, has some spcial size.
Goff, will be be good or not?
Gurley is he like Bettis? Good rookie, slump, then good again?
Britt, well, he's a better X than we've had since Holt, but he's inconsisent
Austin is he going to play slot, where he needs to or forced into the Z role where he does not have good enough skills
K, P, gunners/coverage guys good enough . .. some more than that
We need good DEs, a MLB, a FS, and another CB
The line needs to learn to play or get shipped out.
We need to still improve WRs, been an issue forever, sadly, there is more talent in our WR corps than there has been since 2007, but they often have their head in their butts.
So, there IS some talent. Tons? No, dept is big issue, when starters go down, next man up is usually not good.
