I like Snead. I am not saying he is the best in the business, and he's young, but IMO, he's done well.
I never like the "Snisher" meme, and argued against it repeatedly on another board. I think Snead has done his job much bvetter than Fisher has done his.
And remember that Snead did not hire Fisher. His reputation is not on the line for Fisher's hire or even, most likely, for his retention over 5 years. He was the youngster coming in to work with a HC hired by the owner.
Now, maybe Snead gets canned too. OK. But there is always a risk with a replacement hire. IMO, we could easily do worse at GM than we do with Snead.
We COULD do worse than Fisher at HC, too, as I have often acknowledged. But, I'll take that risk because Fisher offers no hope of breakthrough, IMO.
