have a 5th consecutive losing season, with a nearly perfectly inact and healthy offense that performs worse than any of the first 4 offenses he coached that obviously suffered devastating injuries all over the place? THIS offense was built by Jeff Fisher plain and simple, and they have fallen on their face. He picked both QBs, the RB, the entire OL, the TEs, the WRs.....and of course he hand picked the coordinator/QB coach etc, etc,
Why on earth would any fan have any hope that a 6th year of a Fisher offense will improve dramatically? Is he going to bring in ANOTHER OC? Is he suddenly going to draft effective offensive players or make any offensive FA signings that will immediately contribute, which he simply hasn't done for 5 years.
My own personally feeling is that I would be okay if they replaced him or kept him. To answer your 5 year thing, I don't know, how many lost their 1st starting qb to 2 injuries to the same knee and then watched their replacement meltdown and get benched and cut, and had to start over with a rookie? That combined with recurring OL breakdowns due to injury. In terms of 2012-5, I can't think of any coach that won with a combination of #2 caliber qbs and injury compromised OLs. Can you?
So I don't blame him as much for 2012-5 as apparently you do.
2016 is one whole new mess though. They didn't have the qb for most of the games and settled for a #2 caliber type as a placeholder, but the OL was healthy, just ineffective. So that's a whole different story.
