There is no conflict of interest there. Demoff is employed and represents the Rams, he has no fiduciary contractual relationship with his dad/agent.

He has a fiduciary responsibility to the Rams and his father has a fiduciary responsibility to the Head Coach of the Rams and THAT posses a conflict of interest. ED is firmly in his tree on that. You don't appear to recognize that the tree exists.

They each have their own interests.

If you do this on a daily basis and I have to explain this to you, that's not good. That's bad.

They have an inherent shared interest as father and son. And, they have their own professional interests that can come into conflict with the first interest. This is one of the most fundamentally understood concepts in both business and law. Even the perception of it, not just the actual existence of it, is generally avoided when at all possible.

It's not just about the negotiation of the contract between a son and his father's client. It's also relevant to objectivity regarding the evaluation of performance and status of employment, such as decisions to terminate. Any merely competent HR or legal professional would recognize this in their sleep. So, if you don't, I'm not sure you can even use sleeping on a daily basis as a good excuse.
