If you consider that historically the bust rate is what, 50% overall? I know that some positions have a higher chance of busting, btw, but overall there are plenty every season once those kids get paid. And even further of those who don't bust you have X amount that end up being just guys, the types you can get later in the draft. How many of Fisher and Snead's picks in round one meet that criteria? Plenty of them.
Skins prove the importance of good coaching over the pick counts. They busted on RG3, but it didn't matter, they brought in a guy who knows offense and who coached up a midround QB to get them through it. And if Cousins leaves he'll coach up someone else. It's not a new thing btw, either. Vermiel had a terrible lineup of picks his first time around as a head coach in Philly and still got that organization to the Super Bowl.
IMO if Stan brings in a good offensive head coach he'll get plenty of return from Jared Goff to where there will be no gnashing of teeth over those picks. He might even get return from guys like Tavon too. Just hire a good offensive mind for the love of F. Success starts there.
