no reason to take a great guard that high... I said Jason Smith was a bust when Saffold beat him out at LT in camp in 2010. 2nd overall picks, in the current philosophy of the game (barring injury) that don't pan out are busts.
Of course, if they can be a reclamation project, then at least the bust is mitigated. With Smith, he was so-so as a right tackle in 2010 then fully busted due to injuries and poor play.
Robinson, if he can be salvaged just mitigates the bust, but does not negate it.
I was for trading down on both of them. Wanted Matthews plus another couple of picks, same with Smith.,
