Youngish OC on a very successful program, has head coaching experience (UT, USC, Oakland Raiders) and is seasoned since his last HC go round by a few years at the knee of Nick Saban. Has California ties, part of Pete Caroll's USC glory years. Hopefully the time with the Crimson Tide gave him a greater appreciation for attention to detail and striving for nothing less than excellence. He also has a history of handing the defensive side of the ball over to experienced DC's. So maybe he would be agreeable to keeping GW and Coach Bones. Is aggressive and runs a pro-style offense. Is well known for being able to design an offense around a teams best WR. His play calling at Alabama isn't cutting edge, Nick wouldn't allow that BUT he has modernized Bama's offense quite a bit. He or Haley are the types I am looking for. Don't recall him being thought of as a player's coach, which since that is what Fish is considered I want no part of with the next hire.
