I've never felt more at peace with walking away from this franchise.
I hope you don't walk away ... I can understand your feelings, I can relate to you.
I became a big time Cincinnati Reds fan in the late 60's ... loved the Big Red Machine ... I can name every starter of the 75 World Series Champs .... but in 1985 I walked away from the team because of the owner Marge Schott ... I couldn't tell you who she sold it to, and I couldn't tell you who owns the team now ... and I don't care.
Regarding the Rams .. I was living in St. Louis when the moved there and bought season tickets ... fell in love with Isaac Bruce's route running skills ... I was critically wounded in 2006 when the Rams cut him, and sold my season tickets shortly thereafter ... I did score tickets to see the game in St. Louis when Bruce, as a 49er, caught his 1000th reception ... the only thing that redeemed me as a Rams fan was that Jay Zygmunt was fired right after that game.
I have remained a Rams fan and a some what cynical Rams fan ever since.
I still hope for the best of the Rams and wish them many trips to the Super Bowl.
But ... let me digress ... I have been a Raider fan since November 17, 1968 ... I was watching this HISTORIC game on a Black & White TV ... [
latimesblogs.latimes.com] ....
The last 30 years of being a Raider fan was @#$%& ...but I don't regret hanging on.
The Raiders former Owner was the team's best asset and it's worst asset. And the person deserving the credit for the great players, was not the Owner, rather it was Ron Wolf ...without Wolf the Raiders were nothing ... Thankfully the current Raiders GM was taught by Ron Wolf on how to draft and acquire good players and the team is exciting again.
I believe the RAMS will be exciting again ... not this year .. probably not next year ... but they will be exciting again. It won't happen over night ... but I am confident that the Rams of the future will be without Fisher.
Kroenke will get the right people in place ... I'm willing to wait a 3 + years for it to happen ... Kroenke's dominance in the elite wine world gives me confidence that the Rams will eventually dominate the NFL world.
I want this guy wearing Horns: Jordan Westercamp
the video doesn't show how good his hands really are. I think he can be the next Danny Amendola.... with Chris Carter's hands... and then some.
