That is a management and coaching concern but he could still be useful and more valuable used properly and sparingly. He is not even a #2 WR.
Slot and gadget he is our Darren Sproles
Get us a real OC and we would not need to consider trading him.
I think you just nailed it, Bum.
A new HC and his staff are needed.
I think it's pointless to criticize the players at this point. A new coaching staff would do wonders for this O. From QB all the way to OL blocking.
It's almost tragic to see these quality players wasting years under this regime. I might even go so far as to say that the O players have lost confidence in Fisher. Not quite saying that Fisher has lost the team. But I do think that things are headed in that direction. Noticed Gurley's body language this year, for example? There's something not "right" about this whole O this year.
I think we're seeing the player frustration also spilling over into the D area now. The D seems to feel that they must make superhuman plays to compensate for O disappointments.
It's resulting in "frustration" penalties committed by Donald, Quinn, Tree, etc. A negative ripple effect, if you will.
I'll tell you, Fisher's firing can't come soon enough for me. Only then can the healing begin.
Honestly, I don't see any way out, now. Fisher won't be fired until season's end. And things aren't gonna improve until he's replaced. Sigh...
