First of all, I think this is non-issue so that said:
He and his teammates, all of whom are Rams, accomplished something that stands out as outstanding in the annals of NFL history.
I could understand a knee jerk response immediately following his treatment/release but nothing that reflection should not overcome.
Lot of this is defining who the "Rams" are to you, as an individual. Different people have different opinions... for Waterfield it's the uniforms. For you it's the brass, (or at least is in this case). I've never heard a definition that fits how I feel about the Rams and who the Rams are.
Never the less, we've all played sports, team sports.. perhaps not football but some team sport - the relationships you form with your teammates, especially when you have accomplished something of such magnitude, should never be cast aside.
