Britt had almost 100yds by halftime. Maybe that's why the running game opened up in the 2nd half a bit more.
Rock/Paper/Scissors, man.....punch/counter-punch. We have to make teams pay for taking players(Britt) out of the gameplan.
As for Gurley, I just don't see the holes you think Gurley is
missing. TG is getting hit 3feet after he gets the hand-off. The opposing defenses are run-blitzing/camping the
run lanes and we run right into the teeth of them...
which is BAD! imo
Any NFL team can stop the run when they know it's coming...that's why teams try pass from the 1yd line
(think SB and then the Pats yesterday) instead of running into the teeth of a defense. Hit em where they ain't!! It'd be like attacking the Germans on D-Day at the
Pa de Calais instead of
Normandy...that's
where they are expecting you to go and if you do go...
it's like Custer riding into LittleBigHorn.
Remember, the other side gets paid too. The opposition has good players too...every NFL team can beat you on AnyGivenSunday.
Snead must get good players - Coaches must teach the players & coaches must adapt and call good plays on game day.
