I don't know what the scheme. Is but even Havenstiien hasn't been that reliable as a blocker.
They are going to have to look for dominant run blocker at guard and center in future.
Not one OL is an iron clad permanent lockdown fixture based on performance this year.
And what does that say about the back ups?
Sad stuff.

Same guys did it last year though.

The OL sucked at run blocking last year too. They may have regressed a bit and/or Gurley is not as explosive or powerful this year. Either way, FishHead is to blame because he drafted these guys and he hired the coaches for them.

And again. Regardless who/what you blame...and I am personally in the "it's not one thing" category...the same guys did it last year.

Last year the Rams were 7th in rushing yards. If the picture you paint is true, then that is quite an achievement---being 7th in rushing yards with that combination of elements plus for a number of games, a badly melted down qb.

I also think certain factors are in play that barely even ever get mentioned. In the ongoing informal poll posters are more or less have going on this, most of the votes are going toward the blame personnel/blame coaching/ blame the philosophy /blame any and all combination of those possibilities. But I think this story has more to it than that. In fact I don't think it's simple at all. I think it';s a combination of several things.

...

i'm wondering if it's more Gurley than anything. I don't recall the Rams OL getting much push last year, it was more of Gurley being quick and powerful. Didn't TA get more carries last year as well. Like you said, It's a combo of things this year. Scheme, Push, Gurley and lack of TA carries.

I also think there's this. A first time coordinator installed a revised and (in effect) new offense during a move. That's a triple whammy (Boras has never run an install before).

I just think they are simply not on the same page.

That can't be the only thing...it's other things too, as you mentioned.
