Just put me down for the opposite of what you said. It made absolutely zero sense to me all together.
When he comes in behind this crap Rams offense and gets beat up and his passer rating is lower than Keenum`s we will see.
Now I`m hoping when he does get named the starter, it creates a spark for the team and the offense around him elevates their game and he has a better opportunity to be more successful than Keenum. And this is definitely possible. I`m not in the room, so I have no idea how the players feel.
I think that you might be underestimating Goff's mental toughness and resiliency, Paul.
He endured that nightmare freshman season at Cal. He not only survived, but later thrived, earning the respect of his teammates and coaches in the process.
Eli and Derek Carr suffered in their rookie years, but look at them now.
Anyway, I'm in the sooner rather than later camp for Goff.
College and pro are two different animals. Maybe I am underestimating his mental toughness, we will see.
I can understand why you and millions of others are in that camp for the sooner rather than later. I`m actually not for or against that camp, but just thinking of the results and consequences of throwing him in their right now if he truly isn't ready like some insiders say and with this horrible Rams offense and OL.
